Extending the Prairie Table Fundraising Dinner

By - Jaime Webb, Program Coordinator of Prairie Land Conservancy

Prairie Land Conservancy prepares to host our 9th Extending the Prairie Table Fundraising Dinner! As your local accredited conservation land trust, PLC has protected over 2,400 acres of habitat from development. With continued growth in our conservation and management programs comes the need for more equipment and supplies. Proceeds from the dinner will go towards funding a new stewardship building where PLC staff will be able to store our stewardship equipment and supplies in one central location.

You won’t want to miss this opportunity to not only support conservation but have conversations with other stewards while enjoying food from the local venue: Park Place. The dinner will also be accompanied by a musical performance by the East Enders as well as feature a Silent Auction. Auction items are donated by our community members and sponsors, including local artists and businesses.

After the dinner will be a special guest lecture by Carey Boehm-Corrie of Boehm’s Lawn & Garden Center in Rushville. A special opportunity to learn more about native plants! You can purchase your tickets online at prairielandconservancy.org/events. You may also stop by the office at 321 W University Drive in Macomb to drop off a check or mail it in.

We hope to celebrate conservation with you all this fall!
