Community Invited to Celebrate Faith at Jesus Fest 2025
The Forgottonia Times™ Report
Area churches and community members are preparing to gather at Jones Park in Canton for Jesus Fest 2025, a free, family-friendly celebration of faith and unity. The event will take place on Saturday, Sept. 6, from 3 to 6 p.m., and is open to the public.
The festival is centered on the message of 1 Corinthians 1:10, and is designed to bring together Christians across denominational lines while extending an open invitation to the wider Fulton County community. Organizers describe it as a day of worship, fellowship, and service, intended to highlight shared values and strengthen community ties.
Planned activities include live worship music, family games, raffles, face painting, a bounce house, and visits with mini cows. Local churches and volunteers will provide free food, while dessert trucks will also be on site. A prayer team will be available for attendees seeking spiritual guidance.
The event is supported through the efforts of churches, businesses, and individuals across the region. Volunteers are helping with everything from set-up and clean-up to organizing activities and providing food. Donations of raffle items and other forms of assistance are also being gathered to help make the festival possible.
"Jesus Fest isn’t just about throwing an event," said Jennifer Welker, Fundraising Coordinator for Jesus Fest 2025. "It’s about building bridges between churches, loving our neighbors, and sharing the hope of Jesus Christ in a fun, welcoming environment.”
Admission is free, and everyone is encouraged to attend. More information, including details about volunteering and donating, is available by contacting organizer JorDaynah Holm-Choate at 815-216-3995 or by following the event’s Facebook page, “Jesus Fest.”
