Spoon River College Students Compete at National PAS Conference

Three Spoon River College agriculture students recently competed at the National PAS Conference in Branson, Missouri, representing SRC in the soils competition.

Emilee Franklin (Abingdon), Danica Geeseman (Canton), and Olivia McLouth (Canton) worked as a team, completing a 50-question exam and analyzing a soil monolith. Their efforts earned them a top 10 finish.

The National Professional Agricultural Student (PAS) Organization is a student-led organization for college students studying agriculture, agribusiness, and natural resources. Founded in 1980, PAS focuses on leadership, career preparation, and skill development through competitive events.

Spoon River College offers an associate in applied science degree in Agricultural Business Management, and certificates in Agricultural Precision Technology and Agricultural Production.
