Come out to Industry Pinhook Days on August 8-10!

The Forgottonia Times™ Report

Industry Pinhook Days, an annual event celebrating community, tradition, and small-town spirit, is happening again this August 8-10!

Previously an annual tradition in the Village of Industry, it stopped happening in 2013 due to a lack of funding and volunteers to help organize it. Sara Hendricks, Industry Pinhook Days committee members says, “Over the years, community events had started to dwindle, and there was a growing sense that something important was missing. There was a desire to bring people together, the group came together with the shared goal of creating something fun, family-friendly, and unifying for the town once again.” In 2021, a few dedicated members of Industry’s community, Sara Hendricks, Angie Crook, Kara Surratt, and Corey Surratt, decided it was time to bring this beloved tradition back. Thanks to the hard work of volunteers and the support of many sponsors, the Pinhook Days has continued to grow each year since its return. It is once again a cherished series of events that highlight the strengths of small town communities and bring a bit of fun for everyone. Due to months of planning in advance and several meetings, the Pinhook Days return with many exciting events. This year’s celebration will include musical entertainment, a Penny carnival, vendors for crafts and food, a Parade, a tractor show, a Pancake Breakfast, a Fundraiser Dinner, and so much more!

All events take place in Industry, Illinois, at 209 E Hickory Street. See the full schedule for this year’s Industry Pinhook Days below. For more information, contact the committee at contact@industrypinhookdays.com or visit their site at industrypinhookdays.com.
